Cucamaras

Cucamaras are a four-piece band from Nottingham formed in 2019. The band started out playing straightforward indie songs before using the pandemic as an opportunity for reflection and reinvention. They explored new sounds and influences during lockdown, leading to a shift in their music and a more philosophical lyrical approach. With their forthcoming second EP, the band continues to evolve, incorporating post-punk and danceable elements into their indie roots. Cucamaras draw inspiration from Nottingham’s vibrant music scene and aim to break away from generic sounds, embracing complexity and individuality. As hometown heroes, their success has included playing at Rock City and gaining recognition beyond Nottingham.
